Markus and Esther Ramseier have been working in the Central African Republic (RCA), in the heart of Africa, since 2013. They have friendly relations with the people in the country and provide advice and support to the leadership of the national church association Elim (UEEE).
The January 2021 issue was published at the end of December 2020 with our first article on the topic of “Schoggi u Gebät”. The picture was a foot in the snow. Symbolic, because we have been leaving our footprint in Bödeli Info every month since then, reaching more than 20,000 households in the eastern Bernese Oberland with articles about God and the Christian faith.
Among Arab guests in summer
For several years now, outreaches have been taking place in the summer among Arab guests. Up to four times per outreach, the Jesus film is shown in Arabic in the castle park in Interlaken. There is a bookstall on the market square and many conversations about the Christian faith take place during these 14 days. Lots of material can be handed out and even Bibles are distributed. HTO is active in Eastern Europe: Moldova is the poorhouse of Europe and the suffering in eastern Ukraine has been exacerbated by the war. On the ground, families are given practical help and the Christian faith is put into practice.
